SignalGroupPhoto-10Make room on the awards shelf! Signal was recognized this week with two exciting honors from Inc. Magazine and the Illinois Technology Association (ITA).

Today, Inc. Magazine unveiled its annual ranking of the 5000 fastest-growing private companies in America, and Signal grabbed a top spot on the prestigious list, weighing in at #51. Signal also ranked as the #3 software company on the list, and #2 among all companies in Illinois.

The Inc. 5000 list, based on three-year revenue growth, is where America’s most successful companies first make their mark. Household names like Pandora, 7 Eleven, Toys ‘R’ Us, Zipcar and Zappos.com have been on the list in the past.

This year, Signal is ranked among other innovators in their industries, including wearable-technology maker FitBit (#53) and two other growth-stage Chicago companies, social media platform Sprout Social (#78) and Revamp Electronics, (#50), a distributor of mobile device repair parts.

Signal’s top ranking on the list is recognition of our exceptional growth and widespread adoption of our technology by agency and brand marketers around the world. Signal was founded five years ago to offer one platform for marketers to collect, connect and activate customer data to execute real-time cross-channel marketing campaigns. Since then, the company has experienced triple-digit revenue growth every year since inception, and grown to more than 15,000 clients across the U.S., APAC, EMEA, and South America.

“Being recognized on the Inc. 5000 list is an amazing honor, and underscores that marketers around the globe, in retail, publishing, media, entertainment, travel, automotive, and other industries need better solutions for engaging today’s always-on consumers in real time at scale,” said Mike Sands, Signal CEO.

Also this week, Signal was named a finalist for the ITA Rising Star Award. The award is presented to the company that has the strongest potential to emerge and become a leader in the technology industry. ITA award winners will be announced on September 17 at the 16th Annual CityLIGHTS Awards ceremony.

The Inc. 5000 and ITA recognition builds on Signal’s momentum of quickly being recognized as one of the best and brightest in the thriving marketing technology scene locally and nationally. Earlier this year, the company’s three co-founders, Mike Sands (CEO), Marc Kiven (CRO), and Eric Lunt (CTO), were awarded with the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award®. Eric Lunt was also honored by the 2014 ITA CityLIGHTS Awards with the Technologist of the Year distinction.

Congratulations to all of the 2015 ITA finalists and all the companies on Inc. list for their fantastic achievements!
