Identity connects us, so Signal uses its ongoing Signalite Social Spotlight to feature our incredible employees for who they really are. The more you learn about them, the more you’ll begin to recognize what makes our favorite individuals unique. Can you identify?
Sarah Stokes, Office Coordinator and “Snack Master” with high praise for Signal’s beer cheese pretzels. Responded to “Judy” at her past job because there were so many Sarahs.
Age: 26. Hometown: Mazomanie, WI, once home to the Midwest’s only legal nude beach (now shut down). Loves watching Wisconsin Badgers sports.
Likes: Performing improv, making people laugh, finding common interests, ‘Game of Thrones,’ river fishing (caught a 38-inch walleye this past summer). Dislikes: Waiting in line, Malort (Chicago’s worst liquor), tobacco companies, saying ‘Hello’ to someone who doesn’t respond back (RUDE!).
A dream she has yet to achieve: “I want to continue with the Second City [improv comedy] program. I want to complete all of the classes I can, then start auditioning for roles in the city. It’s actually why I moved to Chicago.”
What she likes most about Signal so far (she’s a newbie!): “Everyone I’ve talked to is so nice and approachable. I haven’t felt intimidated to ask anyone questions I have. I love the team dynamic of the office. Everyone isn’t just here for themselves — they’re rallying for Signal as a whole!”
