Nadia Bajwa, Product Analyst. Signs her emails “Nadz.” Majored in Environmental Science at the University of Massachusetts. Listens to Juke and Footwork (read: electronic music).
Age: 29. Hometown: “It’s complicated. I feel like I live between two cities: Karachi, Pakistan and Chicago.” Considers herself slightly awkward, excitable and intensely empathetic. Eager to see the Northern Lights someday.
Interests: Painting, drawing, designing clothing (“I work with my tailor to print my designs onto silk”), thrifting, collecting eyeglasses, babying plants (“I’m a plant mom”).
Dislikes: Bad condiment management (“Like, crusty ketchup bottles”), genocide, sexism and racism (“all of the -isms”), lack of toilet manners (“It’s, like, really gross”), non-feminists.
Would you rather be able to speak every language in the world, or be the best in the world at something of your choosing? “I’d like to speak every language of the world. I could connect to so many people, and absorb so many cultures. I’d be the world’s best sponge.”
What is your favorite part about working at Signal?: “I love my work. It’s the perfect balance of getting challenging things done but also having a good time while doing it. I think It’s awesome how Signal gives you the opportunity to explore your interests — and get other people engaged in those activities, too.
