Signalite Social Spotlight: Matt Dayton

Identity connects us, so Signal uses its ongoing Signalite Social Spotlight to feature our incredible employees for who they really are. The more you learn about them, the more you’ll begin to recognize what makes our favorite individuals unique. Can you identify?

Matthew Dayton, Director of Finance. Self-proclaimed “wino” and a Level 2 Sommelier. Liverpool football club and Chicago Cubs fan.

How he describes himself: “I try to be a family-focused professional. I enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids, but I’m also still professionally driven. I work really hard to strike that balance.”

Interests: Traveling, trying new wines and dining at new restaurants (Favorites: Naha, Mastro’s, Naoki Sushi and Coda di Volpe) Dislikes: Filling the humidifier, reality TV, disorganization (“I’m very forgetful”) and inefficiency.

Would he rather have a head the size of a tennis ball or watermelon? “I’d go with a tennis ball to be more agile. I’m honestly more anti-watermelon than pro-tennis ball, as a watermelon would be too heavy and lead to neck and back problems.”

His favorite part about working at Signal: “There are so many smart and interesting people. Working in finance, I enjoy being the glue between departments and interacting with everyone, too.”

Emma Martin

Emma Martin is the Marketing Coordinator at Signal. She is an alumni of the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she majored in Journalism and Mass Communication. Originally from Wisconsin, she has a love for cheese and the Packers!
