Marc Kiven, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer. Arizona State University graduate. Morning person. Considers himself “very determined.”
Hometown: Glencoe, IL. Greatest gift: “My children.” Fun fact: “I was an extra in ‘Risky Business.’ They filmed the movie here in Chicago, and I won the lottery to be in it. It’s still my favorite movie.”
Likes: Skiing, delicious food, a mixture of music (“The Cure is the best concert I’ve been to”), telenovelas, collecting watches, traveling the world (Favorite cities: “Sydney and Tokyo, because they’re unique — and the people there have a great quality of life.”) Dislikes: inefficiencies inside and outside of the workplace, loud people, washing the dishes.
Would he rather always talk in rhymes or sing instead of speak? “I’d rather have to sing instead of speak. Talking in rhymes would be super-annoying for everyone involved.”
What he’s known for at Signal: “I think traveling would probably be number one, but also my relationship with Yahoo Japan. My talent is taking advantage of any and all current market trends to make sure Signal is capitalizing on those opportunities.”
Identity connects us, so Signal uses its ongoing Signalite Social Spotlight to feature our incredible employees for who they really are. The more you learn about them, the more you’ll begin to recognize what makes our favorite individuals unique. Can you identify?
