Identity connects us, so Signal uses its ongoing Signalite Social Spotlight to feature our incredible employees for who they really are. The more you learn about them, the more you’ll begin to recognize what makes our favorite individuals unique. Can you identify?
Madeline Baker (but everyone calls her “Maddie”). Head Designer (check out the redesigned images). Originally from Valparaiso, IN. Notre Dame graduate; studied pre-medical studies and studio art. Loves dogs.
Age: 28. Status: In a relationship. Played chess competitively as a child, and was prom queen in high school: “I was super-involved.”
Likes: Being active (“I go to the gym or run four to six times a week. I also really like powerlifting”), design projects (current venture: an all-inclusive summer events calendar), blogging with two of her best friends, eating good food (favorite restaurant: The Publican) and listening to EDM music (she’s been backstage with Kygo multiple times).
Unaware slow walkers (“This drives me crazy”), people who aren’t good to their friends, washing the dishes (“I’ve never had a dishwasher in my apartment”) and those who don’t know how to ride public transit.
Her best person to be stuck in an elevator with: “Definitely someone who can hold their bladder for a long time” (makes so much sense). Obama, too: “He’d be really enlightening.” Her worst person to be stuck in an elevator with: Anyone claustrophobic.
Maddie’s favorite part about working at Signal so far: “It seems like everyone is legitimately excited about what they’re working on. I also love how if you have an idea, you have the ability to make it happen, and make a real impact.”
