Identity connects us, so Signal uses its ongoing Signalite Social Spotlight to feature our incredible employees for who they really are. The more you learn about them, the more you’ll begin to recognize what makes our favorite individuals unique. Can you identify?
Daniel Werner, Graphic Designer. Nickname: Danny (“I’m trying to go by ‘Dan’ professionally, but if you see me out at night, you can call me ‘Danny.’ That’s my street name”). Majored in telecommunications at Ball State University with an emphasis on video production.
Age: 24. Hometown: Elgin, IL. Relationship status: “Single, but mingling.” Describes himself as ‘extra’ (“I like the finer things”), indecisive yet spontaneous and creative (“That just comes with the job, though”). Goes with the flow.
Passions and interests: Health and fitness (“Sometimes I work out twice a day. I go to XSport and Barry’s Bootcamp”), dogs, cooking (“I make really great guacamole — I’m just gonna put it out there”), traveling (favorite destination: Heidelberg, Germany) and eating Mediterranean and Mexican food.
Dislikes: Pretentiousness (“Just be humble and nice to people”), slow walkers, sweeping (“It reminds me of what I’m stepping on every day”), leaving the lights on, not throwing things away, and people who are impatient and rude in restaurants.
Would he want to live on a boat, a mountain or an island? “I think I’d like to live on a mountain in Switzerland. It’s beautiful there, with all of the lakes around. I like to go camping and hiking, but I’d be staying in a boujee log cabin.”
His favorite part about working at Signal: “All of the people have been great — so nice and welcoming. I also really like how things seem to be progressing within the company. It’s really encouraging. Oh, also the sriracha cashews.”
