Signal Turns Five

May 15, 2015

Last week, Signal celebrated its fifth birthday. And while normally that would mean a small person is ready for kindergarten, at Signal it means we celebrate big-time growth and big-time momentum. A lot of companies never make it to the five-year mark—but Signal just keeps growing and, in many ways, is just getting started.

Signal now has more than 150 employees, a far cry from when the company was founded by Marc Kiven, Mike Sands, and Eric Lunt in 2010. We have offices in Chicago, New York, London, Tokyo, Singapore, and Sydney. And our technology runs on more than 45,000 digital properties in 158 countries. We’ve come a long way, baby.

“Signal went from idea to 15,000+ companies on our platform in 60 months,” says Signal CEO Mike Sands. “Not bad for a first act, but the best is yet to come. Our continued success comes from our great team. We care for each other, our clients and the important work we do. And it shows in our results, as we help our customers build a new foundation for the digital economy.”

We celebrated this anniversary with a Cinco de Signal party on the roof of our Chicago headquarters. Check out scenes from the event below, which featured a terrific mariachi band; a taco bar, nacho bar, and custom margarita bar catered by Boka Group; and a piñata featuring Signal’s spirit animal, the unicorn.

Cheers to getting older and getting even better.
