Signal Founders Win EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award

EY (Ernst & Young) today announced that Signal’s founders Mike Sands, Marc Kiven, and Eric Lunt received the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2015 Award in the Technology category in the Midwest program. The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

Mike, Marc, and Eric were selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a special gala event at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers last night.

“It’s a wonderful honor,” said Mike Sands, Signal CEO. “It’s a testament to what we’ve built at Signal, how we’ve succeeded in helping our clients deliver amazing experiences by solving the data and identity problem for marketers. And we’re very proud to be part of the vibrant and supportive community of entrepreneurs in Chicago and beyond.”

“Our goal has always been to make it easier for people to connect and share data that helps them better understand their customers,” said Signal CTO Eric Lunt. “Our technology now runs on more than 45,000 digital properties in 158 countries, and it’s exciting to watch our open platform help clients around the world.”

“The golden rule of entrepreneurism is to surround yourself with great people,” added Marc Kiven, Signal’s Founder and Chief Revenue Officer. “It’s humbling to watch our own entrepreneurial drive and experience influence the culture at Signal. It’s part of our DNA, but it’s the people at Signal that make it rewarding every day to build this company.”

As a Midwest award winner, Signal’s founders are now eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2015 national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner, will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, California, on November 14, 2015. The awards are the culminating event of the EY Strategic Growth Forum®, a prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies.
